Extended Submission Guidelines General When submitting an NMPZ or No Move game, your game settings must correspond with the category. When getting a glitched round, you may skip it by guessing Antarctica and not counting it as part of your streak, or you may guess based on the information you have. If you opted to skip the round and it happens during a hedge or highscore attempt, that entire game should be restarted and not counted as part of your run. If you opted to guess the round, it will count as part of your streak and guessing the incorrect country will result in losing the streak. *A black screen or a round that becomes a black screen upon refreshing, photospheres, rounds in which the majority of the round is obscured by a tunnel or camera artifact, unofficial and Generation 1 coverage will be counted as glitched. Trekkers and border locations, including spills, do not fall under this category. In country streaks, overseas territories and autonomous regions will not be counted as independent. For example, Hong Kong and Macao are both going to be considered part of China. For subdivision streaks, rounds with generation one coverage will not count. Accidentally guessing in the ocean will not disqualify your streak as long as the guess is close enough to the coast to make the intention of clicking in the correct country obvious. In case the scores of two different submissions in the same category are tied, the time spent playing the seeds will be used as the tie-breaker. Playing with an alt or a second account is prohibited. All submissions must be recorded with 540P or higher video quality. Any submission below such quality will be denied. Plonk It reserves the right to ban any player from the leaderboard (e.g. for repeated denied verdicts, troll submissions, etc.) Solo Attempts You must be playing in fullscreen mode for the entire run. Your GeoGuessr tab must be in focus for the duration of the run. Alt-tabbing is prohibited. Your entire screen must be recorded. Hiding or editing out parts of it will result in your record being denied and in a ban from future submissions. When attempting the 10s Hedge streak or any other similar category, you must use the in-game timer. Taking breaks is prohibited. They will not even be allowed between games. The minimum requirement of 500 played games applies at the time of submitting the record. It is not retroactive. Assisted Attempts All the maps provided on chatguessr.com are allowed, including the terrain and hybrid. The streamer is allowed to use them as well. However, checking Street View coverage during a game is not allowed. In some cases, accidentally clicking in the wrong country can be overlooked, but only as long as it happens purely because of human error and the intention of guessing the correct country is clearly stated by the streamer. Taking breaks is allowed, even during the game. Getting help from the mapmakers is strictly prohibited. If there is strong suspicion that external assistance was used by people in chat only after a certain point in the attempt, everything that comes before that point will be considered valid and can still be approved and featured on the leaderboard. Verdicts and Appeals As long as your submission does not explicitly break any of the rules and is only denied for reasonable suspicion, you are allowed to appeal the verdict. Once an appeal is enacted, a new set of reviewers will verify the attempt. On top of this, you will be asked to take part in a skill evaluation test. Appeals can be rescheduled if personal problems prevent the submitter from showing up. However, failure to turn up twice will result in a temporary submission ban. Once denied, a run cannot be resubmitted. A player will also be banned from submitting if: They are banned from the official competitive mode. They are banned from major tourneys with clear and substantial evidence. They are banned from any Plonk It ranked modes. If a player is banned from submitting and already has records on the leaderboard, they will all be removed.
